We've designed and developed this adjustable regulator because you need it in your life, even if you don't know it yet. You need it if you want to get the temperature higher in your pizza oven, or if you want to sear better the meat on your gas grill.
It's also useful when it's windy or if the outside temperature is low and you need a bit more oomph.
At first, we thought we would mainly use it for smaller gas pizza ovens to reduce the baking time to 50 seconds. But in retrospect, it might be even more useful on a gas grill.
Often it can be hard to achieve the same sear on the meat (Maillard reaction) with a gas grill as with a charcoal grill. This is simply because the radiation from the gas is lower in most grills than if you're going all in with charcoal.
But with this, the problem is solved, and you can transform any Byggmax grill into a Maillard monster. It also fits well with our biscotti stone as you can reach higher temperatures on your pizza oven than ever before.
Some important info (worth reading):
- Use at your own risk as warranties might not apply.
-
The gas regulator is adjustable from 30mbar (like your current regulator) up to 120mbar. If you crank it up to max, it's going to be a blast. Be a bit cautious at first! We've tested this range to be perfectly suitable and relatively safe :)
-
The regulator works with all gas products (grills/ovens) that currently have a 30mbar regulator. It's very easy to replace - all you need is a screwdriver.
-
After testing, the regulator has proven to work best with all types of tube burners. Gas pizza ovens, Weber gas grills, most gas grills have a tube burner. It's not hard to check if you have one - if there's some kind of tube with holes in it, it's a tube burner.
-
The regulator has a regular POL connection.
-
You cannot see the exact current pressure except minimum and maximum. Such a solution would have cost around 2000kr instead and seems unnecessary if you ask us.
-
Do not leave the regulator outside in the rain for a long period preferable.
-
When using: Start with low heat and test your way up with the help of the regulator until you have the heat you want.
If you haven't caught on yet.. this is a really nice product. Kind of like chipping your car, hoohoo Santa’s coming soon and it's gonna be great..
